Description

First let me say this is not my design! I followed a very detailed tutorial from the book Realistic Pet Portraits in Colored Pencil by Anne deMille Flood. I had been wanting some prismacolor pencils for ages and finally got around to getting a small 12 pencil started tin. They are amazing pencils and I really enjoyed working with them and am going to do more tutorials from this book before attempting a picture of my own. I can see where I went wrong with this so I can try to improve with each drawing. Hope you like :-)

I love how you've portrayed the eyes...its like Monet's water lilly's in that there is a surface, a reflection, and a depth. Are they 'even'... could there be more black around the right eye (as you look at the pic) to balance it more with the left one?

The eyes have it, tho :-)
